As for events will be starting off with Garrison Sandoria if you are sandorian plz visit ghelsba outpost and grab a red cryptex to pop it.. Wed and Fri at 6pm est atm.. times may change in weeks to come depending.. Thank you.

The purpose of Garrison is to defend an outpost from attacking beastmen with up to an alliance of adventurers. The beastmen will attack in 4 waves; each wave consists of a variety of jobs including melee, mages, and ranged attackers. The final wave will include a beastman boss.

that's about the gist of what you need to know. basically, think of it as defending from a giant zerg of orcs. you also have npc buddies to help you out during the battle, and if they haven't changed it from the last time i did it, if more NPCs survive the invasion more treasure drops.

Ahh sounds simple enough, are there any preliminary things that I would have to do to get ready for these events?

well, if you're not one of the designated individuals that brings the item necessary to start the event you don't need to worry about that. just do what you would do in an exp party, bring food etc. it is recommended if you are melee to sub WAR for additional provokes. if you can save an npc from dying, that's great.
